Parish mission is a week of prayer and reflection, listening to the word of God, and finding out what God is asking of us as individuals and parish at this time in our lives. It is an opportunity for a new beginning, to individually and collectively serve God in a more meaningful way. It is also an opportunity to find out how to make time in our busy lives to follow the teaching of His Son Jesus, especially at a time when we are approaching Holy Week and are preparing to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ at Easter. The PPPC invites all parishioners to a gathering for Mission in the Parish church commencing on the 9th April. PPC

Beginning Experience: is a support group for those coping with the pain of loss of their life partner, through Death, Separation or Divorce. Few people are able to cope alone with the pain of loss. Do you find that you need more support than family and friends can provide? Seeking help is a sign of strength and self-knowledge – not weakness. This is a healing ministry, which helps to resolve the grief that goes with the end of a marriage or relationship. Coping effectively with bereavement is a skill we can all learn. Next residential weekend will be held on 20th- 22nd May 2011, in All Hallows College, Drumcondra.  For further information please contact 01-6790556 or email bedublin@gmail.com

Fingal Chamber Choir have been invited by The Norwegian Choir Association to take part in their annual “Song Competition” which this year takes place in Trondheim in mid June. We are the first Irish choir to take part in this event and possibly the first non Norwegian one.  It is a great honour for us as a choir and for Fingal to be invited and we are looking forward to taking part in this event. Unfortunately as some of our members are suffering financially because of the recession, and plans for a fundraising concert in the area had to be cancelled, we have begun a fundraising drive and so are holding a table quiz to assist us with the costs.
