Parish Priest Appointment
Archbishop Martin has appointed our Parish Priest, Fr Joe Mullan to replace the Parish Priest of Rathgar effective from November 1st 2010. Fr Joe will be leaving Lusk parish after a four year term as our Parish Priest. We wish him well in his new ministry and ask God's blessing on him as he brings his pastoral leadership to a new community. Archbishop Martin has appointed Fr Paul Hampson as Parish Priest of Lusk from Nov. 1st 2010. Fr Paul is currently a Priest Teacher in Tallaght Community School. We look forward to welcoming Fr Paul to the parish.

Course: Certificate in Children and Loss  (October 2010 – April 2011)
This training course is run by the Irish Hospice Foundation and is certified by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI).  The course is approved for 12 CPD credits for members of the P.S.I. and has Category 1 approval by An Bord Altranais.  This course is designed to provide participants with theoretical content, skills training, and experiential work in this important area. Topics will include: younger children and loss; adolescents, parental separation, traumatic deaths and therapeutic interventions with children. The course is aimed at participants from a variety of professional and non-professional backgrounds and is offered as a full course only. Previous experience working with bereavement and/or with children and adolescents is highly desirable. John Angotti: the number 1 Christian Music Artist in the States comes to Ireland from Sept 15th to 19th moving through the country conducting a series of workshops and mission, inspired by faith through music.
