Fr. Joe’s Farewell
As a community who faithfully gather and celebrate the Eucharist week by week, and at special moments in our lives. We are invited to gather for a Mass of Thanksgiving on October 21 at 7.30pm. Fr Joe has celebrated literally hundreds of Masses during the years that he has been with us here in Lusk, presiding at Weddings and Funerals, Sunday Masses, morning Mass and the great celebrations at Easter and Christmas and now we gather to thank God for his life and ministry. In the company of Bishop Field we will ask Gods blessing on him as he begins his ministry with a new community in Rathgar. We hope that all the parish groups and ministries will be able to participate in the Mass on that evening. After the Mass there will be refreshments in the School Hall, everyone is invited to enjoy the social side of the evening too. We hope to make a presentation to Fr Joe on that evening and during the past week donation envelopes have been circulated throughout the parish. If you are able to contribute please return the envelope to Lusk Parish Office or at the Church as soon as possible. Fr Paul Hampson will be arriving in the Parish on October 28 and we hope to make him very welcome as he begins his ministry among us. Many thanks, The Farewell Committee.
