Parish Mission

What is a mission – a mission is a week of prayer and reflection, listening to the word of God, and finding out what God is asking of us as individuals and parish at this time in our lives. It is an opportunity for a new beginning, to individually and collectively serve God in a more meaningful way. It also an opportunity to find out how to make time in our busy lives to follow the teaching of His Son Jesus, especially at a time when we are approaching Holy Week and are preparing to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ at Easter.

The Parish Pastoral Council invites all parishioners to a gathering for Mission in the Parish church commencing on the 9th April. The Mission will be conducted by the Capuchin’s and will run for one week. Further details of the week’s events will be communicated at masses in the newsletter and be posted in the church. A parish prayer is currently being printed on card’s to be handed out to all parishioners within the next week. This prayer will be said at all masses leading up to the mission, and we will be asking all parishioners to recite the prayer daily for the success of the mission in our parish. PPC.
