PARISH NEWSLETTER: If you would like an item placed in the parish newsletter in any given week you must contact the parish office by 12pm (noon) on Wednesday of that week at the latest. If you would like to receive the newsletter weekly by e-mail or have relatives/friends abroad who maybe interested, please e-mail or contact the Parish Office.

Lusk Parish Newsletter Publication
If any parishioners would like to receive the Parish newsletter weekly by e-mail, please send an e-mail to For inclusion of items related to the church and parish in the Lusk Parish Newsletter, please e-mail the Parish office ( by 12 noon on the Wednesday of the week of publication. The Parish Pastoral Council reserves the right to edit all submission for length, content and suitability.
Since the Lusk Parish Newsletter began publication at Christmas 2009, Yvonne Cadogan has been compiling each edition. In the event of her being unavailable any week to carry out this crucial role (in a voluntary capacity) we require a second team to stand in to ensure the continuity of the newsletter. The new temporary altar will be moved for the Holy Week ceremonies. This trial period was to last for 40 days. The new temporary altar will be moved inside the altar rails. Parishioners will be asked to provide feedback on the latest position of the temporary altar after Easter.

Parish Ministry Sunday
There was a very positive response to the 1st celebration of Parish Ministry Sunday. In addition to the existing 118 volunteers, who share their gifts and talents with the faith community in the parish of Lusk, there were 10 enquiries and expressions of interest from new volunteers. A special word of thanks to the pupils in the parish schools who worked very hard to provide the posters and artwork for Ministry Sunday.

The bereavement service at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross is recruiting for bereavement support volunteers.  The volunteers will provide bereavement support to adults attending the bereavement service.  Good communication skills and an interest in working with bereaved people are essential requirements.  No previous training is required as full training will be given to successful applicants.  For more information please contact Ann D’Arcy, Bereavement Co-ordinator on 01-4068794 or Julia Brent, Administrator in bereavement 01-4068849.
