A Wonderful Night!
The Parish came together on Thursday evening for an exceptional night of celebration, thanksgivine and tribute to say farewell to Fr Joe. The Church was packed with parishioners, the music was marvellous and the procession of all the Ministries opened our eyes to the hugh number of people who participate in the life and ministry here in Lusk.Children carrying candles made a Guard of honour greeting the Bishop and priests as the procession moved into the Church and the Pipe Band lead us to the School Hall for the refreshments when the most moving Mass was over. In the school hall warm words of tribute were paid to Fr Joe and he received an Ipad, a gererous Wallet and lovely gifts from the African Church Leaders and members of the Philipino Community. Excellent refreshments were enjoyed by the large gathering. Thanks to all who participated, contributed, oranised and added to the spirit of a splendid night in the lift of our Parish. We wish Fr Joe well as he parts from us on Wednesday and we look forward to welcoming Fr Paul Hampson in the coming week.

From Fr Joe
As I prepare to leave Lusk parish on Wednesday next I would like to express my Heartfelt thanks to everyone for the support and encouragement, the life and  ministry and the pleasure that I have enjoyed here during the past 4 years. I was Deeply moved by the spirit and generosity of the parishioners at the Mass on Thursday evening and the reception in the School. The people of Lusk will always have a place in my heart and in my prayers and I thank you all for your kindness to me. I hope and pray that Fr Paul will have a long and happy ministry here with you and I commend him to your prayers. Thank You.
