Parish School Enrolments for Sept. 2011

Lusk National School: enrolment packs for Sept 2011, are available to collect from the school office until Fri 16th Feb 2011. These packs may be collected and returned between 9.30 am and 3 pm during school days.  All enquiries should be made to the school office at 8437738.
Corduff National School: Applications forms to enrol pupils for Sept 2011 are now available for collection from the school. A limited number of places are available. Completed applications must be received by Fri 4th Feb at 12.30pm  

Lusk Community Council: The Annual General Meeting of Lusk Community Council will take place on Wed 2nd Feb at 9pm in the Carnegie Library Community Centre at The Green, Lusk. All are welcome.

Lusk ICA: The February meeting of Lusk I.C.A. will take place on Wednesday 2nd at 8.30pm in the scout den. We look forward to seeing all our members and as usual new members are very welcome.

The Mobile Music School: Based on 15 years experience the Mobile Music School specialises in high quality music tuition at sensible rates. Lusk Active Retirement Association: Monthly meeting on Wed 2nd Feb. 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in Lusk scout den. All Residents over 55 years welcome to attend.

Emmanuel Programme 2011: The 5th Emmanuel celebration of liturgical music in Second Level Schools will come to a glorious conclusion in the Mahony Hall, Helix Centre, on Wednesday & Thursday 23rd & 24th March at 8.00 p.m.  Book your tickets at 

The International Eucharistic Congress 2012

The 50th International Eucharistic Congress is to be held in Dublin 10th June 2012.

So what happens at the Eucharistic Congress?
It is a week long programme of events, linking faith and culture, with a particular focus on the gathering of people of every nation, language and way of life around the table of the Lord. The opening ceremony of the Congress will be celebrated in the afternoon of Sun 10th June 2012 (The Solemnity of the Body and Blood of the Lord).  The key events of the IEC program will include the daily sessions of catechesis given by bishops from different parts of the world, as well as testimonies offered by Christians who have a story of faith to share. The closing ceremony and Statio Orbis will take place on Sun 17th Jun 2012.

Sample of Activities:
Morning prayer, exhibitions, workshops, panel discussions, music, drama, youth activities, concerts, film, catechesis, testimony & Eucharist. A more detailed programme of activities will follow
